WLED Magic Mirror

The Magic Mirror appeared in the local Action, and somehow made it's way into the hacker space. As if by magic, the mirror was disassembled, to reveal it's inner workings. When you think about it, it's not that complicated.

The Magic Mirror consists of a glass pane in the front, a LED strip along the edge in the middle, and a curved reflective surface on the back.

This LED strip was a fairly standard WS-type LED strip, not unlike other LED strips we've seen before.

The Magic Mirror came with a small remote control (yes, using IR), which would send commands to a small brick in the middle of the attached cable.

The remote has been tossed and the brick has been removed; These parts have been replaced by an ESP-32. The ESP32 runs WLED firmware. And as expected, this has been added to Home Assistant. Therefore, the WLED Magic Mirror should automatically turn on/off with the Space State.

With the new ESP32 based controller, the Magic Mirror now supports animations and integrations. Unlike it's factory-state. A worthwhile hack for Pixelbar!
